Agentis connects to Xero via the Xero API to read inventory item costs, multi-currency purchase data, and COGS. When a Shopify Plus order enters checkout, Agentis resolves the current cost from Xero, applies currency conversion where needed, and evaluates the order margin against the configured floor. Xero cost updates flow to checkout enforcement within minutes.
Agentis integrates with the Xero Accounting API using OAuth2 with the accounting.transactions.read scope. Inventory item costs are pulled from the Xero Items endpoint, including purchase details and unit costs. Multi-currency costs are converted to functional currency using Xero's recorded exchange rates. Sync runs on a configurable polling interval (default 10 minutes) with webhook support for real-time updates where available. All API calls comply with Xero's rate limits (60 requests per minute) and are logged for audit.
Yes. Agentis reads Xero's multi-currency purchase records and applies the recorded exchange rate to convert foreign-currency costs to the functional currency. For merchants purchasing inventory in GBP, EUR, AUD, or other currencies, Agentis uses the Xero-recorded FX rate for each purchase, not a generic spot rate.
By default, Agentis is read-only on Xero. Optionally, you can enable a write-back that logs margin enforcement events as Xero tracking category entries for finance reporting.
Agentis works with Xero's Established plan (which includes multi-currency and inventory tracking). The Starter and Standard plans have limited inventory features, which may restrict the depth of COGS sync.
