Technical Details
Agentis connects to NetSuite with token-based authentication, directly or through Celigo. Cost changes on Item and inventory records are picked up as they happen, with polling as a fallback at configurable intervals. Bulk loads handle the initial catalog and periodic reconciliation. The Agentis cost cache is validated against NetSuite last-modified timestamps. When a Shopify Plus order is placed, Agentis receives the order event, resolves each line item's current cost, and computes net margin within 60 seconds. Every NetSuite cost update generates an event in the margin sync ledger, and every order evaluation records which cost version it consumed in the Evidence Ledger.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do we still need Celigo for the rest of the NetSuite-Shopify integration?
Probably yes. Celigo (or another iPaaS) typically handles order export from Shopify to NetSuite, customer sync, fulfillment status updates, and inventory sync. Agentis is built for the cost-and-margin pipeline only, and it can read cost data from your Celigo flows. The two coexist cleanly: Celigo handles operational integration, Agentis handles per-order margin checks before fulfillment.
What happens if NetSuite is temporarily unreachable?
Agentis uses the most recent cached cost data and can apply a configurable safety margin for any SKU with stale cache data. The merchant is alerted when the connectivity issue is detected, and the Evidence Ledger records that fallback policy was applied. Checkout and order capture are never affected, because Agentis acts after the order is placed; you can choose whether stale-data orders are only flagged or also held before fulfillment.
How does this integrate with our existing NetSuite SuiteFlow workflows?
Agentis is read-only on NetSuite cost data: it observes changes but does not modify NetSuite records. Existing SuiteFlow workflows for cost approval, vendor management, and PO processing continue to operate unchanged.
