Co-Founder & CEO
Herzel Mishel is co-founder and CEO of Hycos.ai (Agentis). He spent 15 years at Oracle and Ravello Systems building cloud infrastructure reliability systems, and now applies that engineering rigor to the margin layer of ecommerce. He writes the Hycos technical CFO blog on checkout-time margin enforcement, Shopify Plus governance, and ecommerce profit recovery.
Herzel co-founded Hycos.ai with the conviction that ecommerce margin should be governed in real-time at checkout, not reconciled month-end in a spreadsheet. The company's flagship product, Agentis, sits between the Shopify Plus cart and order-confirm state and evaluates every transaction against the merchant's margin policy — blocking, modifying, or accepting orders in under 10ms.
Before Hycos, Herzel spent his 15-year career at Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure organization (acquired with Ravello Systems in 2016) and Ravello before the acquisition. His engineering focus there was the reliability systems that keep enterprise cloud workloads running — distributed consensus, fault-tolerant control planes, and the operational discipline of running tier-1 production infrastructure at global scale.
That operational background informs how he writes about ecommerce profit governance: margin protection at mid-market scale is fundamentally an infrastructure problem (live cost data, policy-as-code, real-time enforcement, audit trails), not a reporting problem. He covers the Shopify Scripts deprecation, the NetSuite-to-checkout COGS sync, the 2026 de-minimis trade policy changes affecting cross-border ecommerce, and the CFO-grade financial controls that mid-market DTC brands need as they scale past $10M GMV.
Herzel is based in Israel and frequently meets with Shopify Plus operators and ecommerce CFOs evaluating margin governance for their business.

Tariffs don't show up on your P&L as a line item. They hide inside COGS and quietly destroy margin on every unit. Here's how to calculate the actual damage — SKU by SKU — with formulas, worked examples, and free calculators.
